Another battle with Amendment One
Regardless of your support or lack thereof for this amendment, one has to agree that this proposed amendment is poorly written and unnecessary. While the document above claims to be unbiased, the inclusion in a commercial or a website seems to tell otherwise.
Above all, those of us who decide not to include ourselves in a “domestic legal union” don’t wan’t to take a chance that a piece of shit amendment to the NC Constitution has the potential to take away my rights. Don’t punish me or anyone else because we don’t want to get married.
I am a single heterosexual female who has no desire whatsoever to be married or as the amendment says enter into a “domestic union”, I do not need some douche bag judge to sign a piece of paper that tells me I can have the same rights as everyone else.
The underlying issue is gay marriage and we all know it. I hate reading posts and articles about why I should “vote for marriage” because it makes me realize that there is still so much hate and ignorance left in the world. It’s a shame that so many close-minded people have the ability to vote and unfortunately have the potential to dictate how I live MY life.
I refuse to support this amendment, not only because it’s a shit piece of legislature that makes no sense, but also because it was written by a bunch of Holier than thou homophobes.
I would sincerely hope that everyone takes the time to educate themselves. read the above article and take what you will from it. Considering the source of distribution I would be wary. There is PLENTY of information out there, I urge everyone to know what they are voting for.
I’m tired of writing about this but I can’t say this will be the last time. I’m sure some other fuckhead from facebook will piss me off enough to write something else.

I’m not mad, maybe a little sad and a little drunk, either way I have something to say…
I am not a slut bag. I may be vocal about my life and obnoxious at times, but just because I have no problem talking about sex, doesn’t mean I’ll fuck you. In the last 3 days I have had just as many “propositions” and while I should be flattered, I am bummed.
If it wasn’t an ex boyfriend, an ex-boyfriend’s best friend or boy I liked, I was propositioned in such a way that i was immediately disgusted. I don’t like feeling used. I especially don’t like feeling like an asshole and thats how each and every one of those boys made me feel. I felt dirty even though I had done nothing inapporpriate. Mind you, I am not a prude, if you know me, you know that I am the farthest thing from a prude, but I took offense to each and every one of these advances.
I would rather be lonely than to compromise who I am or what I feel for a little bit of affection. I stand by that last statement, wholeheartedly. I don’t play games and I don’t like being fucked with. I have standards and while not very high, I require that those in my life not belittle, judge or undermine me. I make decisions with my self worth in mind, please don’t think that just because I have no problem saying the word “pussy” that means I’ll put out, because I won’t. I’m entirely too cool for that.
